Of course we all know how to lose pounds quickly. Stop eating. This is one of the easiest and fastest ways to making sure that you stop putting on weight and a guaranteed way to make sure you drop a few pounds fast. There are two basic problems with this method, though.

Your metabolism is the rate at which your body burns energy at rest. You can stop eating altogether in order to drop a few pounds quickly.
