I will be the first to confess that losing weight is not as easy as it is cracked up to be, even for a guy. Possibly the most difficult aspect of getting started losing weight was deciding on how I wanted to do it. Everyday there seems to be a new fad product or diet out that is supposed to be “the one” that no one else has thought of and will do wonders for all of us in achieving our optimum body. Look on TV and you will see celebrities and sports figures that are promoting all kinds of products, flaunting their before and after pictures, and endorsing next big diet or product. And how many of these never ending products are the right choice for me? Or more importantly, how can I decipher which products apply to me?
Most would agree that the true way to achieve a healthy and victorious weight loss program starts with sound aerobic and cardiovascular exercise along with the appropriate weight training program. The key word there is, “appropriate” and I would highly recommend that you speak with your family doctor to understand what is “appropriate” for you and your body type. There are countless ways to complete a solid daily exercise program and the key component of making it adequate for weight loss is making your heart pump faster. Sounds simple enough, right? Here are some ideas to get you started: brisk walking, hiking, jogging, running, swimming, cycling, running on a treadmill, stationary cycling, dancing, to name a few.
After I have completed a 30 minute cardiovascular workout from the previous list I will then focus of strengthening and resistance. I enjoy maintaining an aerobic feel to the workout and so I continue with weight lifting in what is called a circuit. I use weight amounts that are significantly less than my one repetition max and do as many repetitions as I can in a 30 second period. I give myself 30 seconds and then I rotate to the next station. The main reason for strengthening and resistance is because increased muscle burns more fat. Meaning, more muscle, less fat. That’s about as simple as it gets.
Now there are some of us, and I include myself here, that exercise alone will not work. We need a supplementary product, but again which one is the best for you? As you research the workout routine and dietary products, you will want to be concerned with one main objective, which is, “Can I do this?”, and be realistic about it. You will want to understand all the different aspects of the program and product before involving yourself and I would highly recommend reading reviews about that product.
A major concern that the majority of people across the world face is how one loses weight. Since such a large number of people’s health is affected by their fat percentage, you would think that we would do something solely for the health implications, not to mention the emotional impact it has as we observe our physical changes. What most of us have difficulty doing is committing to right physical exercise program along with the best fit product for our bodies and lifestyles. If you do the research, ask the right questions, and know yourself and your body, you will find the optimum program and product that will work best for you.
Once you have decided on your exercise schedule, you will want to determine a weight loss program that fits your needs and body type. I have taken the time to look over the Top 5 Programs for Losing Weight that will fit anyone’s body type and lifestyle and I have provided reviews on each. Should you not be happy with the results of any of these products, each one comes with a money back guarantee.
