Why drink more water daily or just more water for the rest of your life? One of the biggest and healthiest changes you can make is to drink more water. Many people do not drink enough water and your body needs to have water.
How much water is enough? There are several different recommendations about how much water to drink in a day. The range is from 2 to 3 liters a day. If you stay within this range, you will be giving your body what it needs. This is for the average body under normal conditions.
If you exercise, work in an extremely hot environment or if you are ill, you will want to drink more than the recommended amount. You will have to replace the fluids you are losing by sweating and you need to give your body its daily recommended amount of water. Especially if you are sick, drinking water will help thin the mucus in your chest so that you can cough it up and get rid it faster.
If you are trying to quit smoking or any other addictive substance, water will help get the toxins out of your body quicker by literally helping to flush them out of your system. If you are pregnant, water is extremely important to your health and the health of your baby.
One way that you make dieting easier and healthier for you is to drink water. When you diet your body will go through obvious changes, water will help your body adjust faster to regulate body temperature and other bodily functions. Drinking water throughout the day and with meals will help eat less. Water makes the body feel fuller and the body will not confuse dehydration with hunger.
Why drink more water? Because it is a necessity that your body needs to thrive and perform to the best of its abilities. And because it helps your body to maintain itself and keep your health in tip top condition. If you’re like a lot of people, you won’t be able to go from almost no pure water intake straight to the recommended 8 cups a day minimum. That’s fine. Work your way up to this level over a few weeks. Keep a glass by your desk as you’re working and take a sip at regular intervals and it will soon become a habit.
